Ticket Opportunity Program (T.O.P.)

Working with area community and social service agencies, the spirit of the Ticket Opportunity Program (T.O.P.) is to provide tickets at a greatly reduced price for members of the Twin Cities community who do not ordinarily have the means or opportunity to attend Guthrie performances.

If you feel that the T.O.P. program would be of interest to your community or social service agency, please contact the Accessibility Office.

Donation Requests

The Guthrie supports fundraising events for nonprofit organizations through the donation of performance tickets and backstage tour admissions.

Donation Policy
The Guthrie is a 501(C)3 non-profit, and it's our policy to donate only to other 501(C)3 organizations. We would like to grant all requests, but as a non-profit organization, we must limit the number of contributions we make. Priority is given as follows:
  • Arts organizations
  • Education organizations
  • Medical organizations and medical research
  • Sponsors of the Guthrie raising funds for non-for-profit organizations

Additionally:

  • We can give only once per year to each beneficiary group. (Note: The beneficiary of your event may have already received a donation from us, since multiple events often benefit a single group.)
  • No donations will be made that benefit a specific religious or political organization.
  • No donations will be made that benefit a specific individual or family.
  • Donations are limited to fundraising events only; we do not contribute door prizes.
Application Process
Requests must be received in writing, either by mail, FAX or email.
  • Provide the name, the date and a description of the event
  • Indicate the beneficiary, their 501(C)3 Tax ID number, and explain how proceeds from the event will be used.
  • Provide the name, phone number and email address of a contact person.
Application Submissions
Be sure to include a mailing address with your submission. Regardless of how your request is received, all certificates are distributed via US Postal Service.
